Sometimes I start with a particular concept in mind, and then work that out photographically. Other times, I photograph scenes and later realize that the photo series reveals a unique concept.
Some of the conceptual series involve reworking borrowed images, while others draw on bright lights, abandoned buildings, parked bikes, wild animals, house decorations, iconic symbols, street art, or scenes from nature. A common thread among these is that tremendous beauty exists in everyday life, yet it often requires looking beyond the surface to truly appreciate what is there.
