Sometimes I start with a particular concept in mind, and then work that out photographically. Other times, I photograph scenes and later realize that the photo series reveals a unique concept.
Some of these series involve borrowed images, while others tell tales that emerge from bright lights, abandoned buildings, parked bikes, wild animals, iconic symbols, photo-montages, or the kindness of strangers. A common theme among all of these is that tremendous beauty exists in everyday life, yet it often requires time to be acknowledged and truly appreciated.
