This series makes use of projection photography, a technique first popularized in the 1960s. It involves projecting an image onto a person or an object for artistic effect. For this series, images that were drawn from nature were projected, using a mini-beamer, onto a model, Sofie, who posed against a dark backdrop.
Sofie chose the nature images that were projected. Nature was defined widely to include forests, lakes, oceans, flowers, trees, farmsteads and even the constellations. The unifying theme was to be at one with nature, and to celebrate the miracle of nature.
