In these portraits, I try to capture the character or personality of my subjects. Often I search for something special, such as a reflective moment, the passage of time, or a long lost memory to add context to the images. Occasionally these are posed, while the majority are taken spontaneously. Many were taken while traveling, or while attending fairs, parades, markets, concerts, festivals, sporting events and other events where people gather to simply enjoy life.
