This series makes use of projection photography. For this series, images are projected using a mini-beamer onto a model, La Lunetta, who posed against a dark backdrop.
The theme of this series is meditation. Ancient Mandalas from Tibet, Nepal and India were projected onto the model, who posed in ways that represent prayer, inward reflection, submission and trance. A mandala is a geometric configuration of symbols. In a number of Eastern religions, Mandalas are employed for focusing attention, as a spiritual guidance tool, for establishing a sacred space, and as an aid to meditation.
